Rosamond Nina Lehmann (3 February 1901 – 12 March 1990) was an English novelist and translator. Her first novel, Dusty Answer (1927), was a succès de scandale; she subsequently became established in the literary world, and intimate with members of the Bloomsbury set. Her novel The Ballad and the Source received particular critical acclaim.

Cecil Day-Lewis (or Day Lewis; 27 April 1904 – 22 May 1972), often written as C. Day-Lewis, was an Anglo-Irish poet and Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom from 1968 until his death. He also wrote mystery stories under the pseudonym Nicholas Blake, most of which feature the fictional detective Nigel Strangeways.

During the Second World War he worked as a publications editor in the British government's Ministry of Information and also served in the Musbury branch of the Home Guard. He was the father of the actor Sir Daniel Day-Lewis and the chef Tamasin Day-Lewis.

Goronwy Rees (29. listopadu 1909 – 12. prosince 1979) byl velšský novinář. Narodil se ve městě Aberystwyth na západě Walesu. Později studoval historii na oxfordské New College a následně začal psát pro The Manchester Guardian. Následně byl asistentem editora magazínu The Spectator a cestoval tak po různých evropských zemích, včetně Německa a Československa. V roce 1953 se stal ředitelem Aberystwythské univerzity. Zemřel v Londýně ve věku 70 let.
